Welcome to our 4 Site Security newsletter where we hope you’ll enjoy stories on the outstanding achievements of our colleagues, regular updates on important things that are happening around the business, and news and views.
In this month’s newsletter, we’re proud to kick things off with highlights from our Vision and Values – the 4 Site Way – roadshow in January. We bring you very exciting news on how we will be celebrating our people through a new awards scheme that strongly aligns with the four pillars of the 4 Site Way – Support, Integrity, Trust, and Excellence.
You can also find out more about two worthy local good causes and the support that 4 Site Security has recently given to help them make a difference.
On the road with the 4 Site Way- launching our Vision and Values
2024 got off to a flying start at 4 Site Security. On 8th January, we set off on the road for a two week roadshow to launch our Vision and Values – the 4 Site Way – to our colleagues.
For some weeks before the launch, lots of hard work had been undertaken by the senior team, such as writing statements, creating communications, presentations and videos, shopping around for promotional goods, and scheduling site visits. Everything was prepared and packed up; now how would our colleagues feel about the 4 Site Way?
Our roadshow team went out with a huge amount of enthusiasm, and they put in many hours and much dedication to reach our people. Going out on the road to client sites to launch the 4 Site Way was also an important opportunity for our back of house team to meet front line staff face-to-face.
The weather was cold, and often rather damp and dreary along the way, but this was in complete contrast to the warmest welcome and smiles received from clients and colleagues. The engagement of our staff with the new Vision and Values was even more amazing than we had anticipated.
Here is a selection of images from the roadshow. There are many more images of our wonderful staff on the roadshow for you to enjoy on our LinkedIn and Facebook pages.

This is just a taste of the feedback from the roadshow:
Our Managing Director Ashley Kirk summed up the event: “It was such an enjoyable and satisfying time meeting the people who embody our Vision and Values and to hear how passionate they are about embracing these in their work and partnerships. Travelling the 4 Site Way, successfully taking our business forward together into the future, depends on the commitment of our people, and it is absolutely clear that they have this in abundance. A huge thank you to everyone for their hard work and support.”
The 4 Site Security People Awards have arrived!
We are delighted to announce the new 4 Site Security People Awards.
At 4 Site Security, we recognise that the strength of our business lies in our people, and we have been pleased to celebrate the achievements of our colleagues and teams over the years, through awards. With the launch of our Vision and Values, however, we felt it was important to marry the awards criteria and selection with the four key pillars of the 4 Site Way.
So, going forward for the new 4 Site Security People Awards, we want you to tell us all about our colleagues and teams who impress with their actions to support our clients and their end-users, their team mates, and the environment or the community. Their actions will clearly demonstrate the 4 Site Way and reflect one or more of our values of Support, Integrity, Trust, and Excellence.
Each month, our Senior Leadership Team will make an Outstanding Performance Award and Team of the Month Award, selected from the nominations received from colleagues and clients. The Outstanding Performance winner will receive a voucher and each month a Team of the Month will be announced. At the end of the year, a Team of the Year winner will be selected from the Team of the Month awardees. The Team of the Year will receive a special award and presentation.
If you know of a person, or a team, that is deserving of recognition through the 4 Site Security People Awards, we are very keen to hear from you. The process is simple… all you need to do is to let your line manager know that you would like to put someone or a team forward for an award, and they will gather the information and submit the nomination for you.
All of our winners and nominees will receive a certificate of recognition and be featured in our monthly newsletters.
Look out for our first winners and nominees in our February newsletter!
Happy to help at St Gemma's Hospice
Christmas is a season of goodwill, and 4 Site Security was again, last December, pleased to show goodwill to help the great work of St Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds.
Each year, St Gemma’s sells Christmas trees to raise valuable funds to provide expert care and support for local people living with life-limiting and terminal illnesses, and their carers. To ensure that the trees were kept safe pre-sale, 4 Site Security donated the time of one of their security officers.
Community Fundraising Manager for the charity Mia Senior explained how much this has meant to St Gemma’s: “Everything went really well and that is of course due to your wonderful security to ensure no Christmas Trees were taken!!!
We cannot thank you enough and are so very grateful for your support.
Please also extend our thanks to Kamran who I am sure had a chilly night watching over the trees.
Your amazing support helped us to raise over £29,000 through the Christmas Tree sales – thank you!"
A big thank you from Leeds South and East Foodbank
At 4 Site Security, we pride ourselves on walking the 4 Site Way and on our key value of Support. This value extends across our client base, staff, and the communities in which we live and work.
Christmas 2023 was a very difficult one financially for many people at the end of another very tough year. We were therefore pleased to donate 4 Site Security contributions in December to the Leeds South and East Foodbank who told us how appreciated the extra funds were.
The foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust’s UK network of foodbanks and supports local people living in crisis.
Ashley Kirk, our managing director, said: “Thanks to everyone for their generosity. It’s good to see how people pulling together to help out others can make a big difference.”
